The updated SenseNova 5.5 showcases a 30% improvement in overall performance over its predecessor, SenseNova 5.0, which was introduced just two months prior. Key upgrades include better mathematical reasoning, improved English proficiency, and enhanced command-following abilities.
To democratize access to advanced AI technology, SenseTime has launched a cost-effective edge-side large model, reducing the cost per device to as low as RMB 9.90 ($1.36) per year. This move could significantly boost the adoption of AI across various IoT devices.
In addition, SenseTime has unveiled “Project $0 Go,” a free onboarding package for enterprise users transitioning from the OpenAI platform. This package includes 50 million tokens and API migration consulting services, designed to lower the barriers for businesses looking to utilize SenseNova’s capabilities.
SenseTime’s dedication to edge-side AI is further demonstrated with the release of SenseChat Lite-5.5, which now boasts a 40% reduction in inference time, bringing it down to just 0.19 seconds. The inference speed has also been enhanced by 15%, now reaching 90.2 words per second.
Expanding its AI applications, SenseTime introduced Vimi, a controllable AI avatar video generator. This tool can create short video clips with precise control over facial expressions and upper body movements from a single photo, offering new possibilities in entertainment and interactive media.
The company has also updated its SenseTime Raccoon Series, a collection of AI-native productivity tools. The Code Raccoon now features a five-fold improvement in response speed and a 10% increase in coding precision, while the Office Raccoon has expanded to include a consumer-facing webpage and a WeChat mini-app version.
